The tablet stylus is stronger than the makhaira

My kind of protest! Instead of foam-mouthed fist-waving, some subtle but effective Iranian artists have taken to art to glorify the ancient Persia that was given bad prop in Frank Miller's 300. Perhaps we may yet see a graphic novel and/or film on the Battle of Carrhae or something like that.

  3. Some of the artworks on that site remind me of the styles used in the Indian-themed publications of Liquid (nee Virgin) Comics. I have quite a few comic books from this house, all based on tales from Indian religious epics and stories. Many are somewhat irreverent in theme, but many also have great artwork - certainly far improved over the quality levels I was acquainted with during my visits to India as a child.
