Incidentally, I did write to Ya Kun Kaya after returning from Singapore last year, begging them to open a franchise here in Dubai.
Right now, the closest thing we have to a kopitiam is a restaurant called Singapore Deli. Which, despite the name, serves only Malay/Indonesian food, and not-quite-Singaporean-tasting kopi.

Lolz...really? Actually, I prefer tea made from the Indian or Indian-Muslim drink stalls. Their tea really have kick.
